There were three matches played yesterday in the singles and two in the doubles in the tennis tournament. The day was an excellent one for tennis and there was a good attendance but none of the games were close. In the singles Tallant beat Barron (with fifteen) 3-6, 6-0, 6-3. Torrey beat Earle (with half fifteen) 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Lockett (with fifteen) beat Tallant 6-3, 6-3. In the doubles Tallant and Wildes beat Page Bros. (with half thirty) 6-3, 6-3. Cummin and Spalding (with half fifteen) beat Rhoades and Duane 6-2, 6-3.
The following matches will be played today at 3 p. m. sharp: Tallant and Wildes vs. Pillsbury and Bailey; Lockett and Hunt vs. Cummin and Spaulding. At 2.30 p. m. Friday sharp, finals in singles, Lockett vs. Torrey.
