We hope the captains of the teams which play in the class series today will see to it that means are provided to keep the spectators off the field. A certain amount of demonstration by the classes is to be desired, but when it comes to crowding on the base lines and rattling the players it is overstepping the bounds of fairness. A game won and lost on its merits must be pleasanter to both sides, to say nothing of its being the only sort that men of gentlemanly instinct care to see.
The captains of the two upper classes have agreed not to play if the crowd does not keep back. The captains of Ninety-three and Ninety-four should do as much.
