To the Editors of the Daily Crimson:
There seems to be an opinion in the freshman class that their crew should be self-supporting.
It may not be generally understood that there is absolutely no chance that the crew will be allowed to go to New London unless the class subscribes enough money to cover all expenses while there, and this money must be paid in immediately.
So far only just enough money has been collected to pay expenses up to the class races.
It will not be fair to keep the men in training after the class races unless the class can guarantee to send them to New London.
