Crew Notes.

The 'varsity crew did not row from Friday, April 3, to last Thursday. Captain Perkins was away in New York on account of Shaw's death; and did not return until Saturday. Thursday and Friday the crew rowed in the following order: Powers '92, stroke; 7, Kelton '93; 6, Vail '93; 5, Rantoul '92; 4, Lynam, M. S.; 3, Cummings '93; 2, Fay '94; bow, Newell '94. Saturday Captain Perkins watched the crew from the launch a little while, then arranged it in the following order: Stroke, Perkins '91; 7, Kelton '93; 6, Vail '93; 5, Cummings '93; 4, Powers '92; 3, Rantoul '92; 2, Lynam, M. S.; bow, Newell '94. Shaw's death will apparently cause a decided re-arrangement of the plans for the 'varsity boat.

The class crews are all hard at work. Perry, L. S., is coaching the juniors, and Hight, L. S., the sophomores. Saturday '91 rowed in the following order: Bishop, stroke; Rantoul 7; Longworth 6; Tallant, 5; Cumnock, 4; Parker, 3; Shaw, 2; Stickney, bow. '92 rowed as follows: Watriss, stroke; Jones, 7; Steedman, 6; Stearns, 5; Porter, 4; Heard, 3; Hubbard, 2; Weed, bow.

The sophomores had the first crew on the river in a shell. After one day's experience in the shell, however, the men returned the barge. Keyes has been ill, and his place has been taken by Pike. Saturday Captain Burgess had the boat made up as follows: Stroke, Burgess; 7, Davis; 6, Slade; 5, Earle; 4, Pike; 3, Hand; 2, Miller; bow, Ellsworth.
