The chess championship lies between Ballou '93 and Wilson '94. The former has won 5 1-2 games and lost 1 1-2 games out of 7. The latter has won 5 and lost 1, but has one game still to play.

Of the Columbia-Harvard 'varsity boat races since 1881, Harvard has won 5 and Columbia 2. In 1882, Harvard declined to row owing to the death of her coxswain a few days before the day fixed for the race, and Columbia won in a row-over.
