The privilege of hearing interesting and instructive evening lectures upon popular historical and political subjects is peculiar to Harvard men. Especially valuable are such addresses from so honored and eminent a scholar as Professor Cooke. That his lecture room has been filled to overflowing each evening during the course is ample evidence of the popularity of his English History lectures. In closing the series with his lecture last night, Professor Cooke had another opportunity of learning how grateful for his work the college feels to him.
