The last Vesper Service was held yesterday afternoon. Appleton Chapel was unusually crowded, every seat being taken as early as quarter of five. The music was excellent. After selections from Gounod's "The Redemption" and from Stainer's "Mary Magdalen" had been given, the choir sang "And it was the Third Hour" by Elvey.
This last piece contains a tenor and a bass solo, which were beautifully rendered. The soloist was Mr. J. C. Bartlett.

It is not a question of ten talents or five talents, but the use we make of them.
Dr. Peabody referred touchingly to the Vesper Services just finished, saying he was sure that all who had attended them felt strengthened and refreshed.
