To the activity of Harvard men is due much of the present activity in preparatory school athletics. It was Harvard men who established the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association; and to Harvard men again was owing the origin of the Inter-Scholastic Foot Ball Association. Both of these associations have worked directly for Harvard's benefit. Valuable men have been developed, and the general athletic standard at the preparatory schools has been raised.
When, therefore, we note the present movement of the Harvard Lawn Tennis Association, we have nothing but words of praise to give. The originators of the movement are following out the plans so successfully carried through with the other branches of athletics in the preparatory schools. Such is the spirit which is doing everything to make athletics at Harvard successful.
