Fifteen Andover men from '91 are going to Harvard and twenty men to Yale.- Phillipian.

R. D. Sears, the tennis champion, has gone to St. Augustine, and he will probably enter the tournament in the doubles with Campbell.

P. B. Linn, captain of last year's Harvard nine, will have charge of the spring work of the Bucknell University team.- Princetonian.

At the last meeting of the '93 Literary Club of Princeton, C. B. Newton was elected president and C. T. Riggs, secretary for the present term.

Professor A. H. Palmer, professor of Language and Literature at Adelbert College, has accepted a call to the chair of German at Yale.

At a recent meeting of the Mandolin Club the following officers were elected: President, G. Jones '91; secretary, S. K. Wood '92; leader, B. Wells '94.

President Andrews of Brown University contributes to the Educational Review an article on shortening the college course, in which he takes the opposite side from President Eliot.

By a misunderstanding on the part of the CRIMSON several errors have been made in regard to tumbling at the winter meetings. Tumbling is entered for the second meeting only and not for both meetings.

Professor Sloane of Princeton is writing an American History on the period from the outburst of the Old French War to the close of the Revolution. The book will be one of the American Historical Series published by Scribner.

The M. I. T. will hold its winter meeting at Winslow's Rink, Saturday afternoon, March 7. The events (open to Harvard and B. A. A. men) will be as follows: Standing high jump, running high jump, pole vault, single stick, tug-of-war (650 lbs. with clothes), 50 yds. dash, 50 yds. hurdle, mile run, and mile walk. All events will be scratch.
