J. R. Finlay, '91, on the leg machine in the gymnasium yesterday lifted 650 kilograms, which breaks the record of Gibson, '88, by 123 kilograms. Finlay's total strength will now foot up to nearly 1230, which is the second best record ever made on Dr. Sargent's tests. The record of 1272.8 of Foster '85 is hard to beat, though Mason, L. S., will soon make an effort to surpass it.
