Ten men will be dropped from the Freshman Glee Club before it is finally organized.

B. L. Burrows '92 has been chosen captain of the Cornell nine for the coming season.

Carl M. Johanson, tackle on the Cornell eleven, has been re-elected captain for next year.

Mr. Albert Whitehouse, of Harvard, has been appointed director of the M. I. T. Gymnasium.

In English 8, three of the remaining lectures will be devoted to Shelley, the other two to Keals.

Bishop Brooks and President Eliot will be the guests of honor at the dinner of the Trinity Club, Dec. 21.

The members of the second freshman eleven who are candidates for the crew began work yesterday.

Dwight W. Bowles, Harvard '87, has been appointed correspondent of New York Times at Albany.

The foot ball men have been asked by Dr. Sargent not to go in training for the crews until after Christmas.

The Christmas holidays practically begin at 4.30 p. m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, and last until Monday, Jan. 4th, 1892.
