The coach of the freshman crew has a notice in another column, again urging new candidates, and especially the foot ball men, to try for the freshman crew. We call especial attention to this notice with the hope that the men in Ninety-five will come to a realizing sense of their position. The present material for their crew is exceedingly scant and unpromising. It is hoped that the foot ball material will furnish stronger men; but what is really needed is a more courageous and earnest spirit on the part of the whole class. They cannot expect to accomplish anything unless they awake into activity at once and for all from the half-hearted and lethagic interest which they are now showing in their crew.
