The lecture which Dr. Curry will give in Holden Chapel this evening on "The Development of Delivery" should be an interesting one to a great many men in college. Dr. Curry comes among us to work for the first time this year, but he comes with the reputation of a man who has made a thorough study of his specialty and who knows it both theoretically and practically. It is a subject to which college men devote too little attention. Oratory was more appreciated in the old days, and it is also a noteworthy fact that our fathers were better speakers than we of the present generation promise to become. A revival of interest in the art of effective speaking is a very desirable thing and we welcome Dr. Curry's effort to reawaken that interest. He should receive substantial encouragement at his lecture tonight.
