We desire to call the attention of the college to the first of the series of lectures which Professor Charles Sprague Smith, formerly of Columbia College, will deliver on Icelandic Saga. It is hardly necessary to say more in introduction of Professor Smith than is said in the notice of the lecture in another column. He comes to us as a man who has made a special study of his subject, which is one of fascinating interest. His series of lectures will be one of the best and most entertaining courses of the year, and should be largely attended.
