P. D. Trafford who graduated from the Law School last June, was on the field yesterday afternoon, and coached the rush line. He played at right guard on the 'Varsity for four years. He will probably be in Cambridge for a few days and will coach the men.
F. R. Bangs, '91, has just entered the Law School and he made his appearance on the field yesterday afternoon. Last year he was substitute centre rush on the 'Varsity throughout the season and played regularly in the position in the Dartmouth and Bowdoin games. Yesterday he was tried at centre on the 'Varsity.
Another change was in putting Gage '94, at quarter back on the second eleven. He is new to the position; but keeps his head well and is very quick. Yesterday he did fairly well. The two elevens lined up for practice at four o'clock as follows:
1st Eleven. 2nd Eleven.
Bond, (end) Griswold,
Grant, (tackle) Hilton,
Berry, (guard) Steedman,
Bangs. (centre) Mackie,
Vail, (guard) Rantoul,
Weed, (tackle) Davis,
Miller, (end) Curtis,
Burgess, (1-4 back) Gage,
Lake, (half back) Oppenhien,
Corbett, (half back) McNear,
Trafford, (full back) Gray,
The second eleven had the ball for a very considerable time and gained ground repeatedly through the first eleven's forwards. McNear and Gray both made some excellent rushes and succeeded in scoring two touch downs against the 'Varsity. Both Mr. Stewart and Mr. Adams coached the team.
