It is announced that the captains of the senior and junior class elevens have decided to play off the tie game next Tuesday afternoon in spite of the fact that it will conflict with the game which the 'varsity eleven plays with Wesleyan that afternoon. It was originally decided to play the game on Wednesday and this would have been much the better arrangement. Every senior and junior will want to attend the class game, and if it is played on Tuesday the attendance at the 'varsity game will be seriously affected. The game with Wesleyan is the most important one that will be played in Cambridge this year, and every man in the University ought to attend it. It is, therefore, distinctly a short-sighted policy for the class captains to insist upon playing off the tie game next Tuesday. It is urged that if the game is played Wednesday it will be impossible to finish the class series next week. In this case it seems to us a comparatively unimportant matter whether the class series be finished on Friday of next week or on Monday of the week following Certainly the class game should not be allowed to conflict with an important 'varsity game.
