The Electric Club begins active work for the year this evening by visiting the Edison and Boston Electric Light stations. The notice in another column states that all men in the University who are interested in the study of electricity are invited to go with the club to-night. A word about the purposes of the club itself may not be uninteresting to new men. The club is intended to bring together all men in the University who are interested in the study of electricity. The club has a room where it holds regular meetings for discussion and where it keeps on file all the leading electrical publications. In addition it is the policy of the club to secure men prominently identified with the study of electricity on its theoretical and practical sides to speak to the members on the special subjects to which they have devoted their research and investigation. In these various ways interest in the subject of electricity is maintained and stimulated. There are doubtless some among the new men who would like to join such a club. The secretary of the club will be glad to hear from all such men.
