The Glee, Banjo and Mandolin Clubs, which are to represent Harvard in the West during the Christmas Holidays, are now so well under way that a fair estimate of their prospects can be made. The work of getting ready, the preliminary choice of candidates and the matter of rehearsals have been undertaken in an enthusiastic and business-like manner by the officers of the clubs, and now, at this early stage, they are not only in working condition, but arrangements for the trip are nearly completed, and dates for other concerts are being made. The Glee Club especially is to be congratulated on its bright prospects. Few clubs have been started with such a number of good voices; the first tenor part is especially strong, a matter of the greatest importance. The Club is under the supervision of Mr. Thayer, whose services proved so valuable last year. Senor Romero will drill the Mandolin Club during the next two or three months. Much of the success of last year's club was due to his efforts, and this year he will be of great service. There will be a revival of some of the old songs by the Glee Club.
On December 22 the three clubs, including 38 men, will leave Boston via. Fall River Line for New York, under the management of the Pennsylvania Railroad, and the immediate supervision of Mr. Macdonough who proved so popular on last year's trip. Following is the itinerary:
