Harvard Co-operative Society.

Many changes have been made in the rooms of the Co-operative at Dane Hall the past summer, and Superintendent Lyford is to be congratulated on the improvement.

The wall around the office, stationery room and book room has been torn down, and the stairway has been transferred from the rear of the building to the outside. The men's furnishing room remains the same with the exception of some slight decorations. In the book rooms new movable shelves have been put in with lockers beneath them. The ceiling and walls have been tinted, and gas now replaces the hanging lamps. A large fire and burglar proof safe has been added to the office.

The upper story of Dane Hall has been made into two recitation rooms and a lecture room with a seating capacity of 320. The furniture and tailor shop have been moved, the former to the old Hasty Pudding building on Holmes Field, the latter to 19 Brattle Street, room 2,

The Co-operative is well stocked in all its departments. The men's furnishing room has a much larger line of athletic goods than last year, and the stationery room has a line of writing papers.

The prospects for a successful year are very bright. Already there is a membership of 427, or 200 more than last year at the same time, and the business is over $1,500 more.
