The Harvard Rowing Club has announced scratch races this week for four-oared barges and single wherries, and has left blue books at Leavitt's for entries. Up to last night, however, there were but two entries for the barge race and only one for the single wherries. Entries for the former close this afternoon at two, and unless there are at least four entries the race will be declared off. There certainly ought to be no difficulty in making up four crews from among the men who have been using the Weld boat house this fall. Some one should take the lead and see that the race is filled. These fall scratch races have been very interesting and they should not be allowed to die out.
