Special Notice.

An Open Letter to Harvard Students.

DEAR SIRS: -

Believing that a large number of students on leaving college fail to show half their power because while there they have not studied and practised oratory, I would be pleased to give you instruction. For individual need private lessons only are necessary. These I will give in your room causing you no loss of time in going to and from the lesson, for $20, payable in advance, for each 10 lessons. A discount given on lessons given at my residence, Elm St., foot of Beach, No. Cambridge, or my rooms in Y. M. C. Union Building, Boston.

I graduated in 1875 from Boston University School of oratory, Prof. L. B. Monroe. Dean, and an experience of 16 years in teaching students, preachers and teachers enables me to give you best of instruction. As an exercise book I use "Elocution Simplified," a book of 100 pages written by myself and containing all the theory necessary. For selections, my "Five Minute Declamations" Parts First or Second, or "Five Minute Recitations."

I should be pleased to talk with you on the subject, and will call on any student if requested. Write to either address above given.

Yours truly,WALTER K. FOBES.
