FRENCH A. - The course will be divided into two sections, meeting for the first recitation on Friday, Oct. 2, as follows: 10 a. m., in Sever 23. 1:30 p. m., in Sever 19. Students are requested to bring Chardenal's First French Course and Bocher's Reader.

F. C. DE SUMICHRAST.The opening meeting of the Young Men's Christian Association of the University will be held tonight, (Thursday), at 6:30 o'clock, in the Lawrence Scientific School. New students especially are most cordially invited to be present.

THE RELIGIOUS CENSUS. - The St. Paul's Society, the Religious Union, and the Young Men's Christian Association, in order to obtain information for promoting the religious work of the University desire to take a religious census of the college. Students are invited to cooperate by filling out the blank forms which will be presented to them during registration hours today.

Professor J. J. Hayes of the Department of Elocution will be in Holden Chapel on Monday, at 11 and 2 o'clock, to see students who wish to join voluntary classes s m.

COMMITTEE.FOOT BALL season tickets are now on sale at Leavitt & Pierce's, and can be had until 4 p. m. Saturday, when the sale will stop. No subscription will be taken this year, but every man in college is expected to buy a season ticket.
