In Harvard's record in athletics during the past year can clearly be seen the wonderful force which united effort can wield. Take it all in all, last year was the most successful in athletics that Harvard has ever had. The season began with the victory in foot ball and fittingly ended with the glorious record at New London. Upon the latter achievement we want to take the first opportunity of congratulating the men who brought it about. The outlook in rowing at the beginning of the year was not bright, and the discouragements which Captain Perkins and his men met throughout the year were many. Yet the college was behind them, and they won.
