There are still 24 candidates for the Yale freshman crew.

Amherst will send five men to the B. A. A. games, Feb. 14.

There is a freshman debating society at Yale which meets twice a week.

The following members of last year's Andover football team expect to enter Yale next fall: Cox, Goetchie, Colt, Hinkey, Babbitt, Ogilvie, Foster and Sheffield.

Outing for February contains a football article by Walter Camp and a very good picture of the Harvard 'varsity eleven.

Professor Mark will be at the Museum tomorrow afternoon to answer questions in Zoology 1. Questions should be written out and handed him beforehand.

The Boston Herald names a company that did a business last year of $10,000 on $3,000 capital. Our own Co-operative Society did a business of $70,000 on $5,000 capital.

The championship contests of the National American Skating Association take place today and tomorrow at Berkley Oval, Morris Dock, Harlem River, New York.

Trinity will apply for readmission to the N. E. Inter-collegiate Baseball Association. If admission is refused, a league will probably be formed with Brown, Wesleyan and other colleges.

Eight of the candidates for the Yale freshman crew have been dropped, and the 24 men left are divided into three crews, coached by Captain Brewster '91, Isham '91, and Simms '90 S. respectively.

The hours of instruction per week in the various colleges are: Harvard 270, Yale 119, Vassar 118, Columbia 110, University of Michigan 104, Cornell 84, Princeton 75, Amherst 72, and Trinity 65.- Yale News.

At the Princeton Junior promenade the decorations will be in pink and olive and the dance orders will be handsome souvenir card cases of dark brown leather with silver lettering. Before the dance a concert will be given by the Glee, Banjo and Mandolin clubs.

Professor Taussig was to have spoken on the "Silver Question" at a dinner of the Massachusetts Tariff Reform League this week, but his business in Washington prevented his doing so. It is hoped that when he returns the Tariff Reform League will offer the public another chance to hear him.
