The secretary of the Harvard Athletic Association is warranted in his explosion of surprise that more men have not joined the Association. The Mott Haven team is best supported by fees received in this way, and no one can have any excuse for neglecting to join. The figures show that Ninety-four especially needs to be stirred up We believe, however, that all the fault is not on one side. Men join the H. A. A. for the most part in order to be allowed to attend the meetings, particularly the winter meetings of the Association. Now it is a fact that these latter meetings of the past two years have fallen off in interest; not enough men have entered the events, and the competitors on the whole have not been skillful enough to draw the crowd of previous years. If the H. A. A. can get up an interesting programme, as seems likely from the present outlook, the membership list will be much increased.
