The Cambridge Tribune of last Saturday contained a report that Mr. Montague Chamberlain was about to resign his position as assistant secretary. The Crimson is glad to be able to state that this report is unfounded.
During the summer the Foxcroft Club has fitted up an additional dining room, and thus doubled its seating capacity. It now numbers 125 men, with a waiting list of 20. The kitchen arrangements have been much improved and a larger variety of food will be provided than last year. During the summer the club opened its rooms to the students of the summer school, and about forty men took advantage of this privilege.
During the summer, the tennis courts on Jarvis field have been moved farther away from the fence, and one new one has been laid out. New and tighter backstops have been put up and ten feet have been left in each case between the back line of the court and the wire netting. Five of the courts on Homes field have been practically new made, and everything about them has been put into first-class condition.
Students will make out their courses of study for the year at the various places of registration this morning.
Thompson, Yale, '90 who has coxswain the Yale crew since his freshman year has entered the Harvard Law School.
A new cement tennis court has been laid out behind Beck Hall.
D. C. Torrey, '90, has been acting as assistant in University 5 during the absence of Mr. Bolles.

The Ground in front of the Carey building is being graded, and turf will be laid out there.
