We call attention to the fact that no mention has yet been made of any contest for the sculling championship of Harvard. For this race there is a fine silver challenge cup to be held by the winner one year, besides a plated cup presented by the H. U. B. C. to the winner to keep permanently. On the cahllenge cup the winner may have his name inscribed. Sculling is a very fine sport in itself, and once started would no doubt become popular. It is a pity that with all the facilities at the Weld boat house there should not be a good annual race. If several men would go into the race this year there would be more chance of a successful race next year. There are no remarkably good scullers in college, and no man should be frightened out by too much respect for the skill of others. Even if three or four men enter the race it can be made very interesting to the spectators and very exciting to the contestants.
