The Hasty Pudding Club gave their annual New York performances for the benefit of the crew at the Berkeley Lyceum theatre, Monday and Tuesday evenings and Tuesday afternoon. The play is a clever burlesque on the Iliad, entitled "Helen and Paris, or, The Dude, the Dunce and the Daisy" by W. K. Post, and was cast as follows:

The libretto is very amusing, and abounds with hits on the follies of society in general and college society in particular, The music is taken partly from current light operas but is largely the composition of E. A. Bigelow the musical director. The acting was excellent and elicited continued applause from the large audience.

Wendell '91, made the hit of the evening with his topical song, "That's a thing I can't understand." Slocum, '90, was excellent as a newspaper reporter, being especially funny in his manner of taking notes. Cheney, '90, provoked a good deal of laughter as the Hibernian Ganymede.

Lockwood and Fullerton were very successful as pretty girls, and Woods, Nichols, Skinner and Atkinson acted and sang well.
