The Mott Haven predictions of the Yale News, published in another column, are encouraging to Harvard. The News manages to calculate only 34 points for Yale, and allows Harvard 81. A glance at the table will show some events in which Harvard can safely claim more points than she is credited with. The two-mile bicycle race, judging from last year's competition, will go to Harvard. More than one point can be counted on in the mile walk, and some points in the hurdle races. These alone will be sufficient to make a radical change in the results predicted by the News. The H. A. A. has made an excellent showing in all meetings this year. Its team is doing earnest work, and can be looked upon to bring a victory to Harvard with perhaps more confidence than other team.
