Mr. Justin Winser will give a lunch today to the members of the Librarian School of Albany who are visiting this week in Boston.

Men who subscrlbed $3.50 or more for the bicycle race are entitled to membership in the 'Cycling Association. Those who gave less this year can join by making up the difference.

The freshmen nine will play the Wollastons tomorrow on Norton's field. A game has also been recently arranged with the Amherst freshmen, to take place some time in May.

Carl Schurz visited the university Wednesday, and was present at several German recitations. A large reception was given for him in Boston Tuesday, which President Eliot and many of the faculty attended.

The freshmen will be unable to use their shell until the middle of May. Captain Hutchinson has offered them the use of one of the 'varsity shells for the class races. At present they are rowing in an English built shell.

At a meeting of the board of overseers, Wednesday, at 50 State Street, Boston, the resolution from the college faculty, recommending changes in the statutes of the University in the requirements for the degree of bachelor of arts, was referred to a committee consisting of Messrs. Hodges, Putnam and Wolcott.
