G. L. Day, Sp., has left college.

The candidates for the 'varsity nine were out on Jarvis for practice yesterday for the first time this year.

The reserved books for the Old Norse course have been removed from the Greek alcove to alcove 131.

The Williams Weekly urges that athletics at Williams be placed under the control of an advisory committee.

The freshman crew rowed in the tank today and will continue their practice there until Mr. Keyes returns.

There will be a recitation in Mathematics 4 on Tuesday March 4. All men should bring the mid-year problems.

Mr. George D. Latimer '89, and a recent graduate of the Theological school was installed Wednesday night as pastor of the Allston Unitarian church.

The present number of candidates for the freshman crew will be kept until the middle of April when the final selection will probably be made.

Though the crew is not on the water, the river is open and two or three of the new men who need practice most with the oars go out every day in a pair-oar. Herrick coaches them.

The present law school at the University of Michigan is taxed to its utmost capacity. It is proposed to erect a new building next year to cost between $150,000 and $200,000.

The next meeting of the Historical Society will be held Monday evening in the Peabody Museum. Professor F. M. Putnam, a well known authority on archaeology, will speak on the Prehistoric peoples of America.

The Banjo club has accepted an invitation to play at the annual entertainment of the Massachusetts Cadets to be given at the Boston theatre on the afternoon of April 11 and the evening of April 12. A large part of the freshman Glee club will sing in the choruses.
