Columbia expects to win thirteen prizes at the intercollegiate games this year.

Yale friends of Mr. George Adee, Yale, '67, will tender him a banquet March 1, in recognition of the work he has done in advancing Yale's athletic interests.

The several sections of Political Economy 1 will hereafter meet separately, and in the same rooms as at the beginning of the year. Professor Taussig is still undecided whether or not to announce the mid-year marks. Beginning Friday sheets from Professor MacVane's new book will be used as collateral reading on international trade.

Yale has agreed to row the champion eight-oared crew of the Atlanta Boat club. The race will take place at New Haven ten days before the Harvard-Yale race at New London.

The Yale sophomores and freshmen have decided not to indulge in any proceedings on Washington's birthday, and the faculty have therefore voted to give the college a full holiday on that day.

The Princeton nine will play the following games on the spring trip: April 5, Newark; April 7 and 9 New York; April 8, Brooklyn On March 29 and April 2, the nine will play the Athletics, of Pniladelphia, at Princeton.

The candidates for the Yale freshman nine are in active training. The nine will probably take an Easter trip, as it did last year. The management expect to play games with Andover, Exeter, the Williams, Amherst, and Columbia freshmen, Williston and Columbia Grammar school.

Yale will be represented at the games of the Boston Athletic association by the following men: Robinson, '90, and Lentilhon, '90, in the 50, 220, and 440 yards dashes; Deming, '90, 50 yards and high jump; Tenny, '91. high jump; Lloyd, '91, half-mile and mile runs; Ryder, '91, pole vault; Kitchell, '92, high jump.

Professor J. J. Hayes of the Elocutionary department will give several readings in New York city this month. Wednesday, February 12, at Chickering Hall he will read "A Mid-summer Night's Dream" with Mendelsohn's music to the play given by the Listemanu Sextette and a chorus from the Cecilia club. On Thursday the 20th he will read Browning's "Colombe's Birthday;" on the 27th a miscellaneous programme, and on March 6th "Twelfth Night."
