A Yale Alumni Association is being formed at lokio, Japan. There are a large number of graduates in that place.

T. W. Bancroft, professor of Rhetoric and English Literature at Brown University, disappeared from his home Tuesday morning.

The M. I. T. holds its annual indoor meeting next Saturday. Kales and Beattie have been elected president and vice-president respectively of the M. I. T. foot ball association.

The governor of Michigan will report in his annual message that the University of Michigan is seriously overcrowded and that measures ought to be taken to remedy the trouble.

The Minnesota Club held a meeting on Tuesday evening. It is hoped that considerable interest can be aroused among Minnesota men this year, as there is a greater number of them in the University than ever before.

Since last Thursday the following results in the Chess Tournament have been reported. Second section, Ballon beat Barney and Broughton. De Maniac beat Barney, Latham beat Barney. Third section, Conger and Wilson beat Webster, Adams beat Conger. Fourth section, Hotzman Beat Gleason.
