In the American Foot Ball Union the M. A. C. will take the place of the S. I. A. C. next year.

A strange coincidence occurred in the make-up of the Harvard and Yale teams last Saturday. The Trafford and Morison brothers filled the same positions respectively of right guard and full-back on each team.

The method of counting by points instead of goals, touch-downs, etc., was introduced in 1883, the only difference between it and the present in de of counting being that a touch down counted but two points. In 1879 Yale defeated Harvard by one goal kicked by Thompson, a Yale half-back, from the centre of the field. This was the last time a team of fifteen men was played. They were distributed as follows: 7 forwards, 5 half-backs and 3 backs.
