The old elm in the academy yard at Exeter, set out by Daniel Webster, was cut down last Wednesday.
The chapel choir will assist the choir of St. Paul's Church, Boston, on Thanksgiving Day, under the direction of Mr. W. A. Locke.
The last lecture on Logic in Philosophy 1 will be given on Wednesday, December 31. On Friday, the 5th there will be an hour examination, which, with the questions answered in writing in the class, and the two-thirds of the mid-year paper which will have to do with Logic, will form the basis for the mark for the year in that subject. The final paper will contain questions only upon psychology and metaphysics.
The Princeton football management has given official notice that no one will be allowed this week to witness the University practice, unless identified by a member of his class who will be stationed at the entrance.
Those members of German 4 who have not yet handed in their themes may do so on Wednesday. The second theme will be due on Monday, December 8th, and is to be on any one of the principal characters of "Goetz Von Berhchinger."
From present indications it is likely that every prominent college in this country and several in England will be represented at the final football match between Yale and Princeton at Eastern Park. Orders for seats have been received from students and graduates from Dartmouth, Williams, Wesleyan, Cornell, Rutgers, University of Pennsylvania, Hobart, Amherst, Bowdoin, and many others. A party of Cambridge and Oxford boys will occupy one of the lower tier boxes. Harvard and Columbia will, of course, be out in full force.
