Brown 22; Ninety-Four 8.

The freshman team played two short halves at Providence yesterday with the Brown University eleven. Brown had little difficulty in running up their score to 22 against 8.

Ninety-four gave about as poor an exhibition of foot ball playing as it was possible for eleven men to give. Brown repeatedly broke through the right end of the line and spoiled the criss cross. The freshman team work was conspicuous by its absence, and the general play of the team very poor. Waters did the best playing in the line and Gage and Stone among the backs.

Brown made the first three touch-downs immediately after the game began. The two touch-downs that Harvard scored were made by Gage and Borden.

The freshman team was made up as follows: Rushers, Wrenn, Bond, Rogers, (Fay), Mackie, Saltonstall, Mc-Daniels, Waters; quarter-back, H. Cabot; halfbacks, Borden, Gage; full-back, Stone.
