The anniversary dinner of the Signet Society, which took place last evening in Boston, was a fitting celebration of the founding of the society. The Signet Society, was started in 1870 by a group of prominent members of the senior class, its first president being Charles J. Bonaparte, Esq., now of Baltimore. Since then it has continually been an important factor in undergraduate life. Today, as the Junior Literary Society, it is the goal of many men's desires, not only for the sake of its present pleasures but on account of the link which it forms through life between the alumni and undergraduate members. The dinner last night was just such a reunion, affording to the active members an opportunity of meeting their predecessors and to the alumni a chance to revive old memories and to see how old traditions are continued.
