The Cornell game this afternoon will be watched by all rowing men with interest. For the past few years Cornell has entertained a remarkably boastful spirit toward all her crews and other athletic teams and has expressed unusual sentiments whenever the larger colleges have refused to enter a contest with them. The truth is that Cornell athletics have not heretofore been up to a high standard, but that they are improving rapidly, and the team may be expected to put up a good game this afternoon.
