An informal meeting of the Young Men's Christian Association was held in the Lawrence Scientific School last evening. Professor Shaler made a short address, and music was rendered by several members of the society.
There is to be a regular meeting of the association every Sunday evening at 6.30 during the year. Prof. J. H. Thayer, D. D., Prof. Chaplin, Prof. G. D. Lyon, D. D., and Rev, Brooke Herford are among those who will address the society this winter. Rev. Lyman Abbott and Rev. Henry Van Dyke have been invited to make addresses, but have not as yet been heard from.
