About 84 men assembled last evening in the trophy room of the gymnasium in response to Captain Perkins' call for candidates for the freshman crew. As soon as they were all assembled Capt. Perkins made a short address to them in which he recommended the men to go into their training with earnestness. If a man is going to row on the freshman crew he must work hard.
The men were on the whole a good looking set and apparently there is enough material in the class to make up a good crew.
