Harvard Union.

Tye Harvard union held a well attended and interesting meeting last night. The question for debate was: "Resolved, That the pending Federal Election Bill should be passed."

Costigan '92 opened the debate for the affirmative. He claimed that the one result of this bill would be to secure justice to all. The debate for the negative was opened by F. B. Williams, L. S., who opposed the bill on the grounds that it is an attempt to transfer to the central government matters which he within the jurisdiction of the local authorities.

J. M. Perking, '92, followed in the affirmative, and the debate on the negative was continued by C. T. R. Bates, '92. There were eleven speakers on the affirmative and five on the negative.
