A collection of several thousand shells, many of them very rare, has been bequeathed to Yale, and placed in the Peabody Museum.

The Historical Department will be glad to receive contributions for fitting up the new reading room of the department in Harvard 3.

The recent report of the treasurer of last year's Yale freshman nine shows that the receipts were $745.35, the expenses $744.24, leaving a balance of $1.11.

The Christmas tour of the Yale glee and banjo clubs will include Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis and Cincinnati.

French 4 has finished Labiche and Jolly's "La Grammaire" and will start on Vacquerie's Jean Beaudry" next Tuesday. The class has been divided, and there is now a ten o'clock section on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
