The Harvard chapter of the Delta Upsilon fraternity has taken the following action on the loss of Mr. G. W. Sawin as honorary member:
The chapter wishes to express its deep sorrow at the death of Mr. G. W. Sawin. In him the chapter has been deprived of a wise adviser and sincere friend. His readiness to advise any in difficulty and his well-known social qualities won for him the hearty respect of his acquaintances. He was a man of firm determination and great energy. The chapter recognizes his ability as an instructor in the college and his efforts, as member of the city council in the interest of good local government. The memory of his life will continue to exert a helpful influence on all who knew him.
