The midyear examinations at Technology closed Saturday and the midwinter vacation extends until February 4. It is expected that at the beginning of the next term the new building on Trinity place will be ready for the students. The mechanical and civil courses will occupy it, and the work of moving in is being carried on as rapidly as possible. The mining department will occupy the basement of the Rogers building, which was formerly the mechanical engineering laboratory. In the new mechanical engineering laboratory there will be a new triple expansion Corliss engine and other improvements.
