It is a matter of some surprise that the university has not secured Miss Amelia B. Edwards to deliver a lecture or a series of lectures here in Cambridge. Miss Edwards is recognized as one of the most successful of those who have given study to the history of ancient Egypt. She is at present making a tour of the United States. Her lectures at Yale, Princeton and other colleges have been largely attended, and have aroused much interest. There are doubtless many men in Harvard who would be very glad if Miss Edwards would deliver a series here similar to that she has already given at the other colleges.
