We are glad to see that the proposed concert by the Glee and Banjo clubs at New London on the evening before the Harvard-Yale race will be given. Arrangements have been made and the hall secured.
Certainly this will be to Harvard men, both graduates and underbred bates, a delightful feature of the regatta season, and we hope that this year's concert may inaugurate a custom that will be permanent.
We are sorry that a joint concert by both the Harvard and Yale clubs, as was thought of, will not be given, for such a united concert would be still more pleasant. Yet we have no doubt that the concert by the Harvard clubs will be appreciated and enjoyed by the members of other colleges, and will serve as an incentive to additional good-feeling.
Whether we win or lose the race Harvard men will have no cause to regret that they were present and supported their crew and they will have the added attractions of the concert.
