At ten o'clock this morning the first annual meeting of the Interscholastic Athletic association will be held on Holmes field. For several years the standard of athletics in preparatory schools has been growing higher. More thought and care have been devoted to them, until now it has become an important question which college shall number in succeeding years the athletes of the schools. The association which holds its first meeting this morning has been recently organized and is designed to increase the interest in track athletics at the nine schools represented, and so develop material for the colleges. As the schools of the association send most of their men to Harvard, we should take an unusual interest in the meeting, and do all in our power to make it successful.
