We notice many changes in the elective pamphlet for next year and on the whole they are for the better. Special attention has been paid to several popular and important courses, so that they will not conflict, as was the case in this year's arrangement. We welcome the changes in the German department. With the new courses and an additional professor, and, we hope, a special German library, this department will be very strong.
The new regulation, that no changes in electives can be made after September 25th will do away with the experimenting with courses, so prevalent in the past and will make an unusually careful decision on the part of students necessary.
