The last meeting of the Harvard Union for this year was held last evening and was devoted exclusively to business. The treasurer's and vice-president's reports showed that the society was in a flourishing condition. Six meetings have been held this half year with an average attendance of 68. The average number of speakers from the floor at each meeting has been 14. The debates showed unusual interest among both members and outsiders, and a large number had to be closed while men were still waiting for a chance to speak.
The election of officers was the next business. D. C. Torrey, '90, was unanimously chosen president, R. B. Hale, '91, vice-president; and Ramsay, '92, secretary-treasurer. After a vote of thanks to the retiring officers, the meeting adjourned.
