Tonight the Conference Francaise will hold its last meeting of the year. As the annual election of officers occurs at this meeting it is necessary for as many as possible to be present. The society during the past year, has accomplished a good deal, and may now be considered to be on a firm basis. The first part of the year, through the efforts of the Conference, the members of the University were enabled to listen to a lecture by M. Coquelin, and within the past week the society has brought out in a very creditable manner, two plays which, we were very glad to see, were well received by the college at large. With an active membership which is constantly increasing, we see no reason why the society should not be what it has proved itself to be in the past year, a live and prosperous organization. It has our best wishes, and in the future we shall hope to see it repeat the success of this year.
